time for explaining!

pkmn: something that's been around all my life, and that i've played all my life! they are great, well put together games and they along with the show and cards really shaped my childhood.

oban star racers: an excellent, original french-japanese animation with not only a great in-show story, but a great production story. the lengths the creators went to make their dream a reality is encouraging and empowering!

studio ghibli: i saw a glimpse of spirited away when i was 8, and watched the rest of it later in life and was blown away! i proceed to watched the rest of the studio's films and they really had an impact on me.

rice boy: i enjoyed this comic immensely. the story, the art style--everything enthralled me. evan dahm's storytelling is simply something! i recommend it and his new comic vattu.

digimon: the show really shaped my art style a bit as a kid. i loved drawing the little critters and some of the plots/storylines were very complex and mature, which was nice for kids who normally get babied by television.

cave story: really love this game. shaped the way i look at games, really made me love pixels.

smt series: persona persona persona omg just. made me love silent protags and wow the art and the ideas and symbolism and dying wow

zilowar: an artist i met on spielpets, an old petsite that went down a bit after i signed up. i was 11 and i remember looking up to this artist a lot and i drew their fursona once--i still to this day love their art. very motivating.

balustriad: same story as above! their art style really impressed me all those years ago and to this day their name has stuck in my mind!

friends: my lovely artistic friends such as tolomer and em-ly and their lovely drawing styles and concepts! always lovely to see and talk.

animals: fascinating!! especially deer!!! you see a lot of them in my art.

sherlock: the first time i was truly enthralled in something non-animated

mushishi: a really good anime that will never stop impressing me. so calm, so informative, just so cool! artistic and pretty and great.

my cats: my cats, especially the ones that aren't with me anymore, are always on my mind! they are my best friends and i will never stop thinking of them. they keep me going!

shuukira: i love their art ohhh geez,,

yuko ota: concepts and comics and cats oh my! love her wow

SOTC: a beautiful, lonely game that can only be described as art

leppu: wow their art is great wow wow wow

natsume yuujinchou: led me to draw a lot of spirit-y stuff and make a lot more OCs! very nice anime that just makes me think and cry and draw

neopets: neopets is a huge landmark in my existence! i learned html there, started drawing there, roleplaying, writing, developing characters.. it was a HUGE creative outlet! i also made friends on there, although i've lost them now when they were with me they were amazing to bounce ideas off of and grow!! overall, a learning experience!!
